Experiments for curious people: work out what you just saw cross the sky, and look at the latest picture of the whole Earth from NASA's EPIC camera.

What just passed overhead?

Saw a bright dot gliding across the sky? Tell us when and roughly where, and UULKA rewinds every satellite it knows about to find the matches.

Choose a location (top of the page) first.

The whole Earth, from a million miles away

NASA's EPIC camera on the DSCOVR spacecraft sits about 1.5 million km away, between Earth and the Sun, and photographs the entire sunlit face of our planet several times a day.
