Danny FullbrookBedfordshire, Hertfordshire and BuckinghamshireMilton Keynes Development PartnershipAn artist’s impression of the proposed new complexA “world-class” £76m entertainment venue could be built in Milton Keynes.Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP), run by the city council, said ATG Entertainment (ATG) would operate the 4,000-capacity site at the Old Bus Station, Elder Gate.ATG has operated Milton Keynes Theatre since it opened in 1999, but the proposed new venue would allow for “larger-scale music performances and live experiences”.MKDP said it was investing £76m in the project, which will go to public consultation later this year. It could open in 2029.The closest comparable venue is Arena MK, which holds up to 5,000 people.
